Music, Fire, Shadow, and Charm

I found myself wondering who could perfectly capture the wonderful, handsome, and mysterious vampire and thus my mind rested on only one that would be capable of doing such in the right style that felt most suiting to him. From Darius to Nimfer-ti to Magnus Diamond: keelerleah not only stepped up to the front of my mind but performed admirably in bringing this character to life...sorts to speak. I thank her ever so kindly.

Magnus Diamond,
A vampire that comes from the the elegant Victorian era; he was once a simple man who stepped in with the wrong group and found himself dying on the streets. When his life started to fade and the black borders claimed his vision he realized this was the end. However, such would not be his fate yet. A unknown maiden with red hair offered him a chance to life forever, warning him of the blessing and curse. Disparate; he accepted the offer.

He later would come to regret not accepting the mortal death as he found himself strapped to the existence of a vampire. It would not be long before the world he never knew existed as a mortal would be an eternal struggle as hunters and other stalkers of the night became his enemy. His resentment soon led him to surrender to a organization that remained hidden from the media; they hunted the things that stalked the night and so did he now.

Unfortunately, like everything...it came to an end for him as he was forced out of the organization and once more made to survive by himself, which proved quite the challenge since leaving the organization he swore off blood. His power over flames, shadow, and mental control reaching a peak as he wandered the world. At least a century would pass before he stumbled across the self-proclaimed King of Vampires and the jagged man demanded that Magnus kneel before him. The vampire did not know that by refusing to take a knee he would earn himself a spot on the kill list of this man and all his followers as he became a hunted man. Yet every time he and the King fought, it would end in a stalemate or just sheer numbers of the King's followers would overwhelm Magnus.

Magnus would attain more still as he became a military tactician for the likes of Saulot's Consortium, an officer in Darius's Legion, and later the trusted royal adviser to the Regina Nimfer-ti.

Magnus later even attracted the eye of the Queen as she made her presence known to the lone vampire. Magnus found himself surprised that she was nothing like the King, where he was rough, demanding, and brutal; she was understanding, accepting, and caring. His love for music was shared by the queen as he played personal concerts for her to enjoy. The queen soon felt Magnus worthy enough to receive her blood and when he drank from her neck he felt his powers burst beyond their previous limits...he had become one of the few Queen's Chosen.

One thing that many instantly realize about Magnus is that he has an elegant, poetic speech style that makes those who hear him speak lose themselves in his words. By nature he seems to be a pacifist and cares not to fight to prove anything but will unleash his power when those he cares for comes to harm. Over the centuries he has learned to play almost every musical instrument and is never hesitate to play a tune for a yearning audience.

His mastery over flames are uncanny since fire normally incinerates his kind and although compared to almost every other vampire he is considered physically inferior to them, but more than makes up for this lacking by boosting a vast mental prowess that Magnus has yet to test the true limits of. He also has a very strong tie to the shadows, able to use them as personal portals as he steps through them to relocate...as long as there is a shadow in sight, it is his to manipulate.

Debonair, charismatic, handsome, and smooth are few of many words that can describe how this man leaves an impression on others.
